Anna (right) was born in Brittany and has been living in England for 15 years. Her cooking is influenced by her French roots and by her country of adoption; an avid reader of cookery books since childhood, she wrote her first cake recipe at the age of 8 and this passion for all things baked has kept growing since. Anna ran a successful catering business called Cuisine Maison from her home in South Brent, for which she might cook anything from a small private dinner to a wedding buffet for 120 guests. She also supplied local shops with cakes, fudge, amaretti, biscuits and brownies.

Tara (left) is American and has been living in South Brent since 2009. She previously lived in Vermont, where she started and operated a very successful restaurant/café, called Eat Good Food, which specialized in locally grown, seasonal foods. Since moving to Devon, Tara started Little Home Kitchen, a catering and home baking business which supplied soups and crackers to local delis such as River Cottage, The Fish Deli, Fogg’s, and Riverford Farm Shop. Tara also cooks vegetarian meals at Schumacher College at Dartington. Tara’s cooking is heavily influenced by her love of the Mediterranean cultures, but she is not averse to a cream tea or an old-fashioned, gooey American brownie!

We met, as many good friends do, waiting for our children on the playground of the local primary, and we quickly realised that we have the same passion for creating and sharing good food. We decided to join forces, and the rest - as they say - is history!
